Abraham D. Kuhl to be Honored as a 2015 Recipient of the Missouri Lawyers Weekly “Up & Coming” Award

Abraham D. Kuhl, a partner with the Law Office of Young, Jakobe & Kuhl, LLC has been selected as a recipient of the 2015 Missouri Lawyers Weekly “Up & Coming” award.  He and other winners will be honored at a luncheon October 2, 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

To be selected for this statewide honor, attorneys must be 40 years old or younger or have practiced law for fewer than ten (10) years, and must have demonstrated a high level of professional accomplishment, skill, leadership, and an extraordinary commitment to the community through volunteer service.  Recipients of this award epitomize excellence in the legal community and are identified as a leader in the community-at-large.

 

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Kuhl graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University with a degree in Business Administration, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in May 2008.  Like all members of his firm, Kuhl has dedicated his practice to Family Law and practices virtually all aspects of family law.  Kuhl represents parties in dissolution of marriage actions (divorce), modification of custody and/or support actions, paternity actions, adoptions, prenuptial agreements, juvenile court proceedings, and also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, special master, and mediator.  He is a frequent presenter on a variety of family law issues, and is an active member of the Family Law Section of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Having served two terms as the chair of the Domestic Relations committee, Kuhl has been elected as the President-Elect of the Family Law Section.  Additionally, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law and volunteers his time with the Volunteer Attorney Project, as an officer on the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, as well as a member on the Board of Directors for MARCH mediation.
